Hello. I m married since last 4 months and I constantly face the problem of premature ejaculation (last less than a minute). In past I watched alot of porn videos and did frequent masturbation+ I m taking pregabalin pills also. What should I do to increase my timing. Thanks

Hello,

Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common and treatable male sexual issues, especially early in marriage. If you’re taking Pregabalin inform your treating doctor about your PE issues. If you are taking it for nerve pain or anxiety, ask your doctor who has prescribed you this medication, if dose adjustment or switching medication could help.

Pregabalin affects the nervous system. It may reduce libido or alter ejaculation timing and it may also interfere with arousal or sensitivity balance, making control harder. Avoid stress and anxiety. Be comfortable with your partner. Fear of “not lasting long enough” can itself trigger PE. During intercourse, place your attention on yourself, your partner and each other's pleasures. Shift focus away from performance anxiety, stay relaxed. Connect with your partner.

Work on building emotional intimacy with your wife. Understanding reduces pressure. Stop watching pornography as it will affect your sexual performance and leave you frustrated. Do not smoke, avoid alcohol for better performance. Avoid masturbation and when you do, practice “start-stop” method. Stimulate until you feel close, stop, let the urge fade, then start again. This retrains your brain and body for control.

Do kegel exercises, practice slow, deep breathing to reduce arousal spikes during intimacy. You can take SSRIs (like sertraline) in low doses, these are safe and effective. Applying topical desensitizing sprays or condoms (lidocaine or benzocaine-based) can delay climax. Doing the suggested exercises, following a healthy lifestyle, stopping pornography are helpful and will help improve the performance.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
