Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hypertension and tachycardia are signs of sympathetic over activity and a beta blocker like Concor is a good choice. You can take it in the morning before other medicines. It does not cause any gastric irritation. You can take cholestyramine 1 hour after Concor and it will not affect the absorption. Since you sympathetic activity is likely to be more in the morning due to stress of travel, work etc, it would be better to take it first thing in the morning than at night.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
