How Can MRSA Be Treated?

I had filler put in around cheek areas almost a month ago and one side got infected. The doctor who performed the facial filler put me on antibiotics for Mrsa. Part of the area still seems to have a hard area that we think is a hematoma. What are my options to get rid of this??

Hi,

Ceftaroline is a fifth-generation cephalosporin with bactericidal activity against MRSA (including strains with reduced susceptibility to Vancomycin and Daptomycin).

Other antibiotics with activity against MRSA are -Quinupristin/Dalfopristin, Telavancin, Dalbavancin and Tigecycline.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Tushar Kanti Biswas,
