Hi, thank you for trusting Healthcare Magic.

I understand your concerns. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS occurs in 5-10% of women and is the most common cause of fertility disorders (infertility) in women.

One of treatment for people with PCOS is with hormone therapy, where hormone therapy is use to normalize menstrual cycle, prevent cancer of the uterus, and so on.

The body's reaction to hormone therapy (duphaston) alone varies from patient to patient. Duphaston contains synthetic progesterone. Progesterone known can lead to weight gain but not directly. The most common side effects that can cause you to gain weight include increased appetite, depression, fatigue and weakness, all of which can lead to overeating and make exercising difficult. You might also experience bloating and swelling. But I tought that is better for you to keep consume duphaston.

Maybe you can overcome those problem that arise for consuming duphaston with some of these tips:
1. Keep moving
2. Eat when hungry but with small portions.
3. Make sure to consume enough fibre and reduce sweet and fatty foods.
4. Keep exercising
5. Do something fun

The other therapy to consider is metformin and clomid but you have to consult further with your obstetrician for the determination of therapy that best suits your condition.

Thank you,
Hope this helps.
