How Can PCOS, Irregular Periods With Heavy Bleeding Be Treated?

hello doctor, I am 49yrs old and diagonised for Polycystic ovarian syndrome. I don't have any children. last year, my period started getting irregular and heavy which ran to 20days. I was on primolut n for 3 months consecutively. this year the scan shows 12mm uterine lining. again the bleeding goes irregular to 20days until I took provera. what could be happening here?
