How Can SCC On The Left Lower Leg Be Treated?

I have a SCC on my left lower leg - biopsy on Oct 27... and used the burn method. Biopsy said not clear edges ... Dr said the burn would take care of that. Next visit gave some over counter med to put on it to help heal. 3rd visit - gave some more stuff supposed to help hard to heal places. 4th visits on Jan 2nd biopsy again SCC cells still present. What should I do - I am fed up with this Dr. I am afraid now that is might have spread in this period of time.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Squamous cell carcinoma treated by wide excision so that edges must be free of tumor. If edges are not free, re excision must be done until we get a clear margin. This is the most important to prevent spread of the tumor. Consult a surgeon and plan a re excision.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
