Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have condition known as vitiligo in which there are white patches on the body that can occur anywhere . Melanin is the pigment that gives the skin its characteristic color. Vitiligo is caused by a loss of pigment in the skin, due to destruction of pigment forming cells known as melanocytes. Need not to worry. There are certain treatment options available that can help in regaining the color of the skin near to normal like cosmetics, repigmentation using UV light therapy, corticosteroid creams, depigmentation of unaffected skin areas, and skin grafting, can be used to improve the appearance of skin severely affected by vitiligo. So i would suggest you to consult dermatologist and discuss the above options with him/her and start treatment after that .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
