How Can A Bartholin S Abscess Be Treated?

Yesterday I went to a general practioner regarding my bartholins abscess. She gave me antibiotics and magnesium sulphate paste bp for 5 days. If not cured referred me to a gynecology doctor after 5 days. Its paining now also after startng antebiotics.swelling is still there. I don t see any cure .when lying no issues, But can t get up from the bed or walk due to pain. do u suggest me to see the gynec today or after 5 days completing the course of medicine by gp.

It needs to be drained by surgery.

Based on the history, the prescribed antibiotics did not seem to work. So, you need to consult your gynecologist for possible surgical drainage under anesthesia.
