How Can A UTI Be Treated?

I have been on two doses for a UTi, I took lots of pure cranberry juice as will as apple cider vinegar to help get rid of it. All my UTI symptoms are gone except for urgency and some burning on the Vulva. I believe I hurt my bladder with all the high acid drinks. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Persistent urgency and burning pain are indicative that you have persistent urinary tract infection. Please be advised to take the complete course of antibiotics. UTI is usually treated with antibiotics like Nitrofurantoin for at least seven days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
