How Can A Bee Sting Be Treated?

hi. I was just stung by a bee about 40 minutes ago. 2 weeks ago I had an anaphylactic reaction to a sting on my face. So, I just took benedrill, prednisone and Famotidine which was given to me to have on hand if I am stung. I aslo have 2 eppypens with instruction to use it and call 911 immediately if I start getting other symptoms like I had before. So far, no reaction beyond a little swellling around the bite on my leg. I m monitoring myself carefully. Just sitting around now and Wondering if it s ok to have a cup of coffee?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, as you have anaphylactic reaction and you already started medications. So continue these and you can apply calamine lotion locally, tab. allegra after consultation. Watch for symptoms like breathlessness, severe itching, extensive rashes. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
