How Can A Blocked Left Ear Be Treated?

I Woke up this morning with my left ear feeling blocked. Everything sounds echoy. Never had this before in my life. I don t suffer from high blood pressure, but its high right now. I have got myself worked up over this ear blockage situation. Please help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blocked right ear may be due to Infection or eustachian tube block. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water, avoid smoking and alcohol. Use tablet Levocetirizine and Montelukast once a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
