How Can A Blocked Right Coronary Artery Be Treated?

Hello Dr. I have 100%blockage in my RCA. I recently had 2 stents put into my Left and blood low is good. My blockage is the RCA is severe and surgeon did not want to proceed with a stent in that side as he stated the artery could tear, but he is still considering it. My question is will a change in diet, help reduce the amount of blockage and.or medications help? Thank you

Have a nice day dear. Stenosis or thrombosis in coronary arteries mostly cannot be reversed yet their further progression be reduced with the help of diet, medications, and a healthy life style change. As you said that RCA is severely stenosed, the next question from your doctor will be if you experiencing any chest pain or heaviness, shortness of breath on minimal exertion, palpitations or syncope? If the answer to any one of these is 'yes', then in my opinion you should consider addressing the RCA stenosis. If the interventionist feels it impractical to deploy a stent in RCA and if you are fit enough then a graft may be the best option bypassing the stenoses.
