Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor of the cerabellum 3mm in size and is cancerous. Waiting in a surgery date now. He s had it for 3 years and we was first told it was begin so he was just going to live with it. Recently went to a new neurologist that belived it s cancerous. Hasn t grown in the 3 years at all. Still only one an never grown what type of tumor would you call this. It has caused seizures. And what is recovery like on surgery of this part of the brain.
I assume that it can be benign since it is not grown in three years and neither spread metastases. The biopsy is the only test that can reassure if it is benign or malignant.
I think recovery time may need a week and he also may need antiepileptic drugs to stop seizures.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
