Hello, and welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query..
I am sorry to know your injury.
I read your question completely and have understood it well..
I being a surgeon have seen many such cases and one thing I want to impress upon you is, you need not worry..

Cat and dog bites are very common and proper treatment is the need of the hour.
I suggest you the following things.

1. Please clean the wound thoroughly under running tap water. Atleast for 5 to 8 minutes.
2. Start on oral antibiotics immediately, best I feel is amoxicillin, amoxclav 625mg, twice a day.
3. Take pain killers judiciously.
4. Most importantly, do not forget to take anti rabies vaccine, post exposure prophylaxis according to the schedule.

And as you said, keep limb elevated. It will help in decreasing oedema.
These are the most important things to be done.
And time will heal the wound.
Eat good food with lots of proteins. This will help in healing.
Hope this helps you..
In case you need any kind of further information, please let me know..
Take care.. Gob bless.
