4 days ago i got scratched from a stray cat on my feet. It drew a little blood and i washed it with water, cleaned with alcohol pads and applied Betadine, after an hour i went to the doctor and took tetanus toxoid, do i need to get the rabies shots? How deep must be the scratch to get the rabies vaccine? I couldn’t find the cat to observe it since it was an outdoor stray cat.im worried please give suggestion

Hello welcome to the health care magic

Usually dog bite spread rabies mainly

But still cat can also have rabies virus in its secretion and you have blood ozing also after bite

So to be on safer side I will advise you to take rabies vaccine without delay.. Schedule is 0,3,7,14,28 days

Take care

Hope this will help you

Consult physician for examination and discuss your case
