Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently got scratched (a week ago) by a wild cat that I have been feeding close to 10 years, then cat ran off. I immediately washed the wound with soap and warm water for a good 1-2 minutes then dabbed with peroxide. I seem to be fine, my scratch healed within 2 days forming a white scab. Do I still need to see a doctor to get tested?
You can apply topical antibiotics like Mupirocin after cleaning with soap and water. As per your description the wound seems clean and thus no further management is needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
