How Can A Cat Scratch Wound On The Face Be Treated?

I had both hips replaced in 2015. I know infection is a serious consideration. My cat inserted her claw in my face while we were attempting to get her out of a cage. I ve cleaned it up. It doesn t look terrible. Can I wait until tomorrow to see a doctor?

Hello,
Thanks for asking at Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
As per your description you had minor scratch over your face. You don't need to worry as it will heal by itself in few days even without treatment. You can apply topical antibiotic ointments for fasten the recovery. The scar will go away in a week.
You have to get anti rabies vaccine if your pet cat is unimmunized previously.

Wishing you good health
Regards
Dr Shinas
