I have a corn on my little toe. I purchased some salicylic acid from the drug store in a corn removal kit. I have applied it several times and the are has become very white. It says to use for 14 days, what should I expect Email I YYYY@YYYY
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Small corn on the legs can be dissolved and removed by using corn caps having Salicylic acid as ingredient. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent and helps to remove thickened skin in corn layer by layer. It takes two to three time application for appreciating the desired results. If the corn recurrs again, then it would be better to go in for its excision by a minor surgical procedure. Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
