How Can A Dislocated Shoulder Be Treated?

Helo I m a sports person and having shoulder problem. Its been 3 times in 3 years i had a kind of shoulder dislocation last time it was while sleeping at night, but the shoulder gets into position automatically after a minute and there after i don t have any pain only weakness last for like 2 month and than i get my normal strength back. One Dr suggest me for closed surgery, which i dont like. So is there any other option available.

Noted your concern.

Recurrent shoulder dislocation is due to lax supports.
Surgery is the only option for permanent cure.
One has to avoid hyperextension and external rotation of shoulder to avoid dislocation.
