How Can A Dog Bite Be Treated?

My dog bump me in my face and I got wound from his tooth... As I consulted my second doctor for my vaccine he said that I need to take ERIG shots because I m under category 3.. according to Wikipedia it is ok not to take ERIG shots if the person took anti rabies shots previously.. I took 2 shots last may 7 and I was bitten again this August... Do I still need ERIG shot?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you have already got anti rabies vaccine previously, No need to take ERIG and full course is not required. You have to take just two dose of anti rabies shot on day one and three.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
