Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been bitten by my 1 month old puppy last night, September 10, 2017, 7-8pm. The puppy s mother got injected with anti-rabies vaccination before it got pregnant. I immediately went to the hospital today, and got vaccinated after 12-14 hours, 9am, September 11, 2017. I am having a headache and I feel a little bit of fever. Am I already in danger of the rabies ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Mild fever and headache is quite common after any vaccination and it is not a matter of concern and it is not rabies for sure. You can take Paracetamol for fever and continue the full course of vaccines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
