General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Take a booster dose of tetanus toxoid.

Based on the history, you seem to have developed an abscess at the site of a dog bite. You need to be examined by a doctor for the treatment of the abscess and to take a booster dose of injection tetanus toxoid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

It is okay you can repeat the TT vaccine. Since you do not know, last taken, kindly take it, if it was not taken in 5 years, you will get immunized.

If you have taken the vaccine, then it will get metabolized in the body, and your body will kill those germs, and nothing will happen to you at all. So, kindly go for it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
