How Can A Dog Bite Wound Be Treated?

My dog bit me on my finger playing, she pierced my skin. It happened Monday morning and now it is swollen , red, tender to touch, and feverish.? Do I need to go the er or can I wait to go to urgent care in the am? My dog haven t had any of her shots yet . I am very concerned .

Hi,

The description you have given is suggestive of an infected wound.

You have to consult a general physician at the earliest and start on antibiotics preferably Amoxclav.

Nothing much to worry as it will respond well to proper antibiotics.
