How Can A Dog Bite Wound On The Finger Be Treated?
Hi. I was bit in my right middle finger by dog. It was cut deep on both sides of top of my finger. It is also fractured. My finger is tingly and very swollen. Wound is healing but is not all the way. It gets gooey if wet. And is scary to look at. It hurts. And sometimes seems to turn bluish. It also feels heavy at times. Is this normal?
No, please get antirabies vaccine according to the schedule. kindly get dressing of the wound done regularly in any nearby health care center so that it should not get infectious.
Bluish hue is due to the hamper of blood supply to the part and needs to be given attention. Because fingers have end arteries, if injured, it is difficult to save a finger.
So, kindly get the above mentioned treatment done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
