How Can A Ganglion Cyst On The Ankle Be Treated?

I had invasive ducal carcinoma, had surgery and radiation and now take tamoxifen. I've been on tamoxifen for 3 months and have a new ganglion cyst on my ankle- it's been there for about a month. Initially it was painless but now it's getting bigger and pink and hot/slightly painfull. I went to a podiatrist and he said there would be a 50-50 chance it would come back if they aspirated it. Any suggestions?
