How Can A Greenish Scab On The Toe Be Treated?

I had scrap my third toe on cement and became like a green scab it s very painful. I keep cleaning it..it hasn t spread to any other part of foot..the skin around the scab is slightly swollen and pink color..it right on the knuckle of toe...I don t know how to get it to scab up n dry out..it s now 9 days..im scared.u

Hi.
As per your case history of green scab on toe, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
