How Can A Hematoma On The Head Be Treated?

my mom fell on Monday and had a very large egg on her head (lower left). took her to the ER, they did scan said all was fine but now the egg feels squishy. she also has large bruise down side of neck. should we be concerned that it feels squishy? she has dementia so asking her if it feels different won t do any good

Hematoma is nothing but a collection of blood under the skin. Generally it will subside by it own and no treatment is needed.As of now you can try ice packs over the affected area. You can also try anti inflammatory drugs like seratiopeptidase for faster recovery. It has got no relation between cognitive function or dementia.
