How Can A High ESR Factor Be Treated?

Hi, I am a 27yr old married woman with a baby of 1&1/2 yr old.My worry is about the increased esr factor found during a recent routine blood test esr67.Noticiable I am under medication for irregular periods,my other bloob factors are fine HB 12.80,WBC & RBC count healthy,no sugar or BP.Pls advice

Thanks for asking
1. Your ESR is quite high. ESR is a prognostic indicator which raises in chronic infections, inflammation or autoimmune disorders.
2. Since your counts are normal, not to worry for a raised ESR as you are asymptomatic. Only possibility in your case could be due to hormonal intake raising ESR.
3. You can repeat ESR levels once you are out of treatment for menstrual problems.
4. There is no medication to decrease ESR, only the underlying condition raising it can be treated.
