Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When moving mesquite branches a branch swung against my kneecap and the thorn broke off. I was not able to get it out. The next morning, a Sunday I could not bend my leg. I soaked in epsom salts 30 minutes & then was ok. A day or so later apparently it worked it s way further in & I could no longer see it. 2 weeks later my upper thigh is hurting & my husband suggested maybe there is a connection. I have been using an ointment said to pull thorns out of cattle hoofs & 1 week later there is a little bump in the puncture place.
As per your history, it may be due to thorn injury and may chance it will be there. pain may be due to abscess caused due to it.
Kindly consult with surgeon to remove it and after that you may require antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications. till now apply warm bag over it and take tab. Aceclofenac after consultation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
