How Can A Knee Tear With Pus Be Treated?

my son fell off his scooter on wednesday and tore up his knee. I have been cleaning it several times a day and putting a bandaid on for a while then taking it off for a while. It has looked good and starting to scab then this morning he woke up and all this green pus was covering it. What do I do?
