How Can A Leg Nevus Be Treated?

I m in my early twenties, I have a black spot in the middle of my right leg, a little bigger than a size of a quarter. I ve had it for about two years now. It dosent itch as much a year ago,now just occasionally. I ve ignored it this whole time thinking it would go away on its on, but its gotten darker and the skin is now rough. What could it be? I m worried that it will never go away. Its not painful and I don t even know how I got It in the first place, I know its not from an injury

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

According to your history, I would come up with these possibilities. One side may be simple nevus or post-inflammatory pigmentation and another side problematic. So first exclude it by doing a biopsy. I suggest to you consult a good Dermatologist and get an opinion immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Puvvula Kishore Kumar,
