How Can A Lump In The Neck Be Treated?

My girlfriend has a lump or swollen part in her neck and went to her doctor thinking it was her thyroid but he reckons it is higher than her thyroid, but she is confused because she doesn’t feel sick, i feel fine and have no symptoms of an infection but this has all come after her giving me a blow job. So just wondering what she may have?
