Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can A Malignant Tumor In The Thyroid Be Treated?
I am going for a biopsy of two nodules on my thyroid. My T3 and T4 levels are normal. I have no issues at the moment but it grew from 1.2cm to 1.5cm in 1 years time, and the Endocrinologist recommended a biopsy. What is the treatment if the test comes back showing a malignancy. My email is YYYY@YYYY . Thanks
We have to wait for the biopsy report before giving further comment. A biopsy will be sent for histopathology examination and will confirm the diagnosis. If it comes malignant than thyroid gland needs to be removed. Histopathology is a confirmatory report, so wait for it and will discuss further after that.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
