How Can A Painful And Bruised Vein In The Calf Be Treated?

Hi there For a second time now I have a painful & bruised vein in the back of my calf. I half multiple bulging veins behind my knees as well as varicose veins. Unfortunately my job is long hours on my feet and physically demanding. Lately I have been having a uncomfortable cramp in the hamstring area, especially with driving and sitting. Should I be worried about something?

Hi;

It looks like you have chronic venous insufficiency in your legs. You must be evaluated with lower extremity venous Doppler USG examination for precise identification of venous map. You may benefit from compression stockings and venotonic drugs, but I think surgery is required. You must see a cardiovascular surgeon for further evaluation.

May you recover soon
