How Can A Painful Bump Due To Cut Be Healed?

Hi i fell of a bike 7 weeks ago and had a very cut that was two centemeter by two it wa fairly deep on my leg and bleeded a lot a lot then the scab came and after two weeks it fell off then three days later there was a pinkish bump pretty big and when I touch it hard it hurts bad I still have it it has been six weeks since how can this go away

Hi,
After reading your history I can make out that you developed cut injury with secondary infection of the affected area.

Painful bump after a period of 7 weeks in a cut injury is quite unusual. It is basically possible only when there is secondary infection.

Take a course of antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg twice daily for secondary infection. Do not pinch, pop or squeeze the area. Give proper rest to the affected leg and keep it raised. For pain part you can take tablet paracetamol or diclofenac two times. If at all the pain is no reducing in 48 hours then show it to a doctor.
