How Can A Painful Lump Be Treated?

I have a small bump on the top of my head, the size of a blueberry. When I was an infant my mother had it checked and they told her it was a fat deposit. I am 26 now and it has never been painful however over the last 2-3 days it has become increasinly sensitive and now is very very painful.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have some soft tissue tumor like lipoma or neurofibrom. Or you may have dermoid cyst or skin adenexal tumor. This lesions are common in scalp.
You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump.
It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
