How Can A Painful Swelling In The Armpit Be Treated?

I noticed a swelling in my left armpit with dull pain 1year ago. I did an US and it went back normal. Over the time I got pain in the swelling just before my periods. However, for the last two months, i am feeling pain for the rest of the month as well. I cannot feel any palpable lump in the area. However, I had a surgery 4 years ago for removing fibroadinoma from my left breast.

Hi,

That swelling is seemingly due to lymphatic obstruction or lymphnode. It has to be consulted with surgeon and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
