Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 22 years old and had Tb 5 years back. I need to apply for visa and the chest xray shows fibronodular opacities in right upper and left mid zone. I had further test which confirms no active tb. But is there any way to heal these scars. I read on a research paper about serrapeptase enzyme and how it is helpful in removing dead tissues and helping grow new one. Will this be helpful
You a are right, changes of tuberculosis on X-ray may persist even after successful treatment.
Unfortunately, there is no effective way to remove that. Streptokinase is used for loculated pleural effusion, ( fluid in lungs )and it's not for the changes caused by TB.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
