How Can A Rash On The Lower Abdomen Be Treated?

I am 86, female, still overweight, after losing 60 lbs due to an illness. A month ago I came up with a rash under my belly fat. Doctor prescribed a cream which has not done a thing. I am now living in TX and this is getting worse. Can you give me suggestions? Do I need to see my family doctor here, a gynecologist, urologist???

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
