How Can A Red Lump On The Scalp Be Treated?

Hi I m 18 years old, 5 2 weigh about 110 lbs, and I have a red smooth lump or bump (really small) on my scalp that lasted about 2 months already. When my sister was looking at it, she began to take the hair off out of it, and there was one hair that had blood and liquid that came out of it. I began to squeeze out the liquid out of it (which my sister told me that was bad after I did it). It look like that it was finally shrinking, but each day it is finally turning back into a lump or bump again.... it also shrinks when I put on hot water but comes back up again.

Thanks for the query to HCM. I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Treatment for red lump in scalp-In your case the cause of the recurrence is the unripe boil / with hair-follicle infection with cellulitis stage and yet to develop in to abscess-or ripe stage.
It could be treated-
By cold compresses,Antibiotics,Anti-inflammatory,for 5 days time.
If no relief and grows in size with abscess stage-it needs surgical drainage.
Both these treatment needs consultation and cover of ER Surgeon.
This advise is based on the facts from the history you give and needs further clinical check.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you, but just ask a query to HCM and be comfortable to resolve your health issues.
