General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I really appreciate your concern for your husband. Looking at your description it seems to be dermoid cyst or sebaceous cyst. I would like to have further information for better assessment of the condition.

If possible upload a photograph, and data about his age and relevant medical history. Meanwhile keep it clean and dry, apply some antiseptic solution to avoid infection and further deterioration of the condition. In my opinion you should immediately consult a general surgeon for physical examination and dressing.

Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for further information, I will be happy to help you.

Best wishes,
Dr. B R Hudda
