How Can A Spider Bite Be Treated?

My husband has a possible brown recluse spider bite. The blister is was white and seems to be getting darker in color and the skin around it is red swollen and tender and hot to the touch. Should we pop the blister and drain it because it looks infected already?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The mentioned blister is infected boil. I do not recommend to poke it at home as there are chances of increasing infection.

Just visit your family doctor, get sterile dressing done with prescription of necessary antibiotic and anti inflammatory drugs to recover it faster.

Thanks
Dr Purva
