How Can A Sprained Knee Be Treated?

Hi! My name is Jackie. I sprained my knee awhile ago, went to the doctor, got ex- rays and did physical thereby after about 3 weeks of laying low and icing it. When I was finished with physical therapy, my knee didn t hurt on bit. However, after trying to ease into my intense cardio workout again (its on a video) my knee is bothering me again. When I was in Physical therapy, I was using the Cross trainer to work out and my knee was fine. Should I quit excercise for a few days, use RICE and then return to the Cross Trainer? Could I run?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. You should give rest to your knee. Avoid hard physical exertion. Use knee cap while walking. Doing quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises will be helpful.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
