How Can A Stye In The Eye Be Treated?

I have been using Neomycin -poly-dexamet eye oint twice a day since March 18, my stye has gotten better but has not totally healed. I am now just using it once a day and applying warm compresses for 20 minutes once a day. What should I continue using it?

Hi,

Stye generally resolves with simply doing warm compresses as warm compresses help in draining off the contents of the stye, making it shrink and heal gradually.

But as now it is a long time that it is present it can be a chalazion and needs medical intervention.

You should consult an Eye specialist and get evaluated and a clinical examination can be done. Incision and drainage can be done to let it heal faster.

For now do warm compresses 2-3 times a day. Keep the area clean.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
