How Can A Swollen Lymph Node In The Under Arm Be Treated?

My husband was stung by a yellow jacket a few hours ago. he has had a bad reaction to bee stings in years past. Showering tonight he realized the under arm lymph node was swollen and tender. He was stung behind his ear. He has taken a Benedryl and baby aspirin. Should we be concerned or will this go away in a few days?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I advise you to consult a physician immediately. Mean while I advise him to take T.Cetirizine and apply Baking soda paste on the area where it stung. Apply ice pack over the area and make him calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
