General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Halthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

Swollen cervical(neck) nodes indicates infection in surrounding area. The symptoms will subside once the infection is subsided.
I suggest you to consult a general practitioner and get the following things done:-
(1)- A detailed examination of your oral cavity is needed to rule out dental caries, inflamed tonsils, and oral ulcers.
(2)- A short course of antibiotic therapy is required for five to seven days.
(3)- You can take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and fever.
(4)- Do warm saline gargles or gargling with an antiseptic mouth wash.
(5)- Warm compresses over the affected area would provide symptomatic relief.
Most cases subside with this conservative measures. If you have dental caries consult a dentist and treat accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
