How Can A Thigh Injury Swelling With Indentation Be Treated?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Around 9 months ago I had a four wheeler accident in which I sustained various injuries that included cuts and bruises. One of the injuries was to my right outer thigh. At first it was a big bruise that seemed swollen but there were no cuts to this area. While the bruising periodically got better, the swollen area never seemed to decrease. Initially, it seemed as a hematoma as it felt like it was a pocket of fluid. My doctor advised me to give it time and it will heal on its own. Now, it looks like a large indentation on my thigh. Almost as if the muscle was cut. I want to know what type of doctor should I seek help with and if this type of injury is correctable. Any information is greatly appreciated.
