Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can A Vaginal Rash, Which Is Sometimes Quite Itchy, Be Treated?
I had a kidney stone removed and a stent was put in... now I have develop a rash down in my vagina area... I don t know if it came from the stuff they use to clean you with before surgery.... but what do I do .... it is very irritating mainly when moisture is present and it sometimes itch very badly
I read your problem and I do understand your concern.
I would recommend that you take Furamag or fosfomycin for 10 days. Drink a lot of blueberries and redberries teas daily (not while taking the drug). This is to kill any microorganism in the down urinary tract.
For the vaginal area, wash it 4-5 times with chamomile tea. Change your underwear 2-3 times daily.
Do not use intimal soaps or liquids, just warm water.
If after some days you will have other vaginal symptoms such as white discharge or odor consult a gynecologist.
Mean while, follow my advices, and I think the situation will alleviate.
All the best, Dr. Eni
