How Can A Wart On The Index Finger Be Treated?

have a wart; covered part of fingernail, index finger, right hand. Dr lanced it with #3 needle and it started to go away. Dermo also froze it. Wart has now pretty much disappeared but symptoms that caused me to get treatment remain. (plan was to leave it alone). 2 - 3 X each day is secretes sticky fluid through the pores of finger, mostly the 1st joint. coats my fingers - i can wash most of it off but if i am sleeping and don t catch it, it becomes almost impossible to get off. ALso pumps out a vinyl looking disk and very fine what appears to be cord. i can pull the cord out thru the joint as long as i want to. no end, seemingly. It s driving me nuts; people just say leave it alone. Dr says leave it alone, Dermo says same. Extremely messy when you mix the cord/string with the pus and get it all over your hand... i feel like a fool, but don t know what to do. Think i cut the finger 2+ years ago - that is my first rcollection of the wart. plenty of other symptoms - what do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The best clinical decision in this scene is

- Local care with antiseptic cleaning, and regular dressing.
- Systemic care with broad-spectrum antibiotic according to the cultural sensitivity of the fluid discharge.

If you provide me a photo picture of the wart then I can be able to guide further precisely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
