How Can A Wasp Sting Be Treated?

I was stung by a wasp about three weeks ago. Had a severe allergic reaction. Needed to epi pens and meds and was in the hospital for about 6 hours. That was three weeks ago. Since then, I do not feel good, I get almost daily fevers, chills, coughing, stuffy noise and a lot of mucus and really bad sweating at night. It has been about three weeks now and I am just tired of feeling sick. Any suggestions.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of wasp sting which seems to be due to allergic reaction, poisonous substance reaction, and skin infection. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking rashes. I would suggest you to keep your skin clean and dry , protect it from sun. Take proper course of antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medications. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like skin patch test , blood test , allergy test and take history to rule out the side effects of certain drug . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with and corticosteroid ointment.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
